About Us.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Regulatory Compliance Specialist to become part of our Technical team at Bakkavor Meals. Our facility employs over 700 individuals and specializes in producing chilled Italian ready meals and contemporary deli products for a dedicated clientele.
Role Responsibilities.
Reporting to the Technical Services Manager, you will deliver technical expertise to our clients, suppliers, and the broader organization, advising on legal, safety, and quality standards while providing specialized technical support across all functions.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Technical Management Support: Assist with the administrative functions of the Technical Department, including Quality Management Systems (QMS), Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP), legislative specifications, Technical Reports, and logs for contaminants and non-conformances. This includes data entry, trend analysis, information requests, action coordination, change management procedures, and communication with relevant stakeholders.
  • Communication: Ensure effective, professional, and timely communication with customers. Participate in customer audits and visits, leading in areas of expertise. Relay pertinent information to governance forums.
  • Auditing: Conduct audits as part of the internal QMS. Analyze actions and non-conformances, reporting findings to relevant forums. Collaborate with the Technical management team to communicate outstanding areas and updates to standards to ensure compliance with all applicable standards, codes of practice, and legislation.
  • New Product Development: Collaborate with the team to ensure all changes related to product launches, discontinuations, and promotional activities are effectively implemented.
  • Team Support: Provide support and deputize for colleagues in the Technical team as needed, demonstrating flexibility in covering various tasks and participating in projects.
  • Health & Safety: Maintain a safe working environment and contribute to ongoing improvements related to health and safety.

  • Technical experience in a manufacturing setting.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficient problem-solving abilities.
