Job Summary:
MASHPOINT LLC is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for reviewing and processing invoices, ensuring the accuracy of financial transactions, and maintaining compliance with state government accounting standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and process incoming invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
- Route invoices for approval using electronic signature tools.
- Enter, modify, or upload encumbrances and payments using financial software.
- Reconcile encumbrances and payments to ensure accuracy and detect any discrepancies.
- Notify the finance team of any discrepancies or missing documents.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of state government accounting standards and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in Accounts Payable within a state government setting is required.
- Proficiency in using electronic signature tools and familiarity with financial software.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to reconcile financial data.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with internal departments and vendors.
- Ability to work efficiently in a dynamic environment and meet deadlines.
