JOB OBJECTIVE

The primary function of the Sales Operations Manager is to:

• Optimize profit retention for the Sales Division.

• Meet targets for vehicle sales, financial services, and accessory sales.

• Oversee all vehicle sales operations within the organization.

• Enhance business prospects for financial and insurance offerings.

• Comply with regulatory guidelines consistently when presenting financial data and conducting regulated activities.

• Demonstrate the ability to perform effectively under pressure, maintaining reliability and organization; managing competing priorities and adhering to deadlines without sacrificing work quality or customer satisfaction.

KEY DUTIES

• Implement customer follow-up systems and protocols to boost sales from initial inquiries and existing clientele through the Lead Management System.

• Drive sales by actively engaging with customers and fostering relationships.

• Maximize revenue opportunities by presenting funding and insurance solutions to clients while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards regarding financial information.

• Promote a customer-first culture by adhering to Treating Customers Fairly (TCF) principles and complying with regulatory expectations for both clients and the organization.

• Review customer credit submissions for completeness and accuracy, following up with clients and lending institutions as necessary.

• Identify and pursue relationship-building opportunities through proactive outreach and marketing efforts to enhance future renewal activities and finance retention.

• Ensure precise documentation, timely collection of outstanding payments, and secure handling of cash and cheque transactions.

• Understand manufacturer evaluation criteria and apply this knowledge effectively.

• Assist in the accurate appraisal and management of part-exchange vehicles to maximize returns.

• Strive for 100% customer referrals through effective interaction with sales executives.

• Communicate promptly with customers, sales managers, team members, and colleagues.

• Analyze existing processes and identify areas for enhancement.

• Develop training programs for sales executives to boost vehicle, finance, insurance, and warranty sales.

• Consult with clients to ascertain their needs and resolve any issues professionally and calmly.

• Represent the dealership and cultivate strong relationships with lenders and financial institutions.

• Support the management team in planning, forecasting trends, and continuously revising dealership strategies.

• Ensure the safety and security of personnel, vehicles, and property by reporting any known issues or hazards.

SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS

• Proven experience as a Transaction Manager or Business Manager within a main dealer network.
