Job Summary

The post holder is required to provide a clerical service within the Treatment Centre, ensuring that the professional and caring image of the Trust is maintained at all times. The post will involve a combination of patient contact (face to face and on the telephone), consultant and staff enquiries, and a range of clerical duties intended to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the Treatment Centre Administration Department.

Main Responsibilities

  • Predominantly working on Eye Clinic Reception prepping and ordering notes.
  • Following up on patients who did not attend their appointments.
  • Booking in patients and checking demographics.
  • Liaising with nursing staff, consultants, and other colleagues.
  • Varied day-to-day tasks.

About the Role

This role is for the Eye Clinic Reception role on Thursday and Friday 8am-4:30pm, plus Front of House Reception on a Saturday morning 8am-1pm.

Key Skills and Qualifications

  • Good standard of English to GCSE (9-4 or A-C) or equivalent RSA/OCR level 3 or equivalent knowledge and skills.
  • Ability to work on own or as part of a team.
  • Experience of working within customer service.
  • Ability to remain calm and confident.
  • Organisational skills.
  • Ability to work in a busy environment.
  • Ability to meet deadlines.
