Position Overview

The successful candidate will be tasked with delivering comprehensive administrative support within the Treatment Centre, ensuring that the professional and compassionate image of the Trust is upheld consistently. This role encompasses a blend of patient interaction (both in-person and via telephone), inquiries from consultants and staff, as well as a variety of administrative responsibilities aimed at facilitating the seamless and effective functioning of the Treatment Centre Administration Department.

Dependability, adaptability, and a collaborative spirit are crucial for this position.

While the role is primarily office-based, there will be a requirement to provide assistance at the Front of House reception, Eye Clinic reception, file management area, and back office as needed.

This position serves as the initial point of contact to cover various areas during periods of annual leave or illness.

Key Responsibilities

Primarily managing the general administrative functions of the Ophthalmology Department within the Treatment Centre. Engaging in diverse daily tasks related to patient appointments and inquiries. Offering support in other sections of the team when necessary.

We manage an average of 4810 outpatient appointments daily. We rank as the 4th busiest Trauma & Orthopaedic outpatient department in England, averaging 2077 appointments weekly. Experience and Qualifications

Essential

Proven ability to work independently or collaboratively within a team. Experience in a customer service role.

Previous experience in a similar administrative environment.

Knowledge and Skills

GCSEs in English and Mathematics at Grade C or above (or equivalent). Proficient in computer use with strong keyboard skills. Solid clerical and administrative skills.
