Position Overview
This role presents a unique opportunity within the Cancer Centre at University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust for a dedicated Cancer Centre Team Leader.
We seek an individual who is committed to enhancing cancer services, guiding a team, and elevating data integrity.
The Cancer Centre plays a pivotal role in managing the execution of National Cancer Waiting Times (CWT) targets, Cancer Outcomes and Services Datasets (COSD), and National Audits, while ensuring the effective operation of Cancer Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) meetings, ultimately leading to improved patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
The primary responsibilities of this position include:
- Overseeing daily operations of administrative personnel
- Facilitating Patient Tracking List (PTL) meetings
- Assisting the service manager and senior leadership
- Serving as a resource for teaching and training
We are looking for a candidate who is enthusiastic, possesses strong interpersonal skills, has proven management experience, and excellent communication abilities.
To succeed in this role, you must work effectively with both clinical and non-clinical staff while maintaining a flexible, patient-centered approach. Previous administrative experience, familiarity with databases, and an understanding of data collection processes are essential.
The Cancer Centre operates across multiple acute hospital sites, necessitating an on-site presence at both locations.
