Position Overview

We are seeking a highly organized professional to deliver comprehensive clerical support services to our stakeholders and clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide efficient financial business support, managing and documenting both Council and client funds.
  • Process both manual and computerized financial, client, and service data.
  • Generate and evaluate reports, ensuring accuracy and clarity.
  • Prepare documents, including drafting letters and reports.
  • Handle purchase order processing and offer basic IT support.
  • Supervise, allocate, and review the work of clerical staff, providing guidance as necessary.

You will collaborate with the Customer & Business Services team, supporting various social work units across the region. As the primary point of contact for clerical assistance, you will operate independently while providing essential support to local managers and their teams. Strong organizational abilities and a flexible mindset are crucial, along with excellent communication skills, as you will engage with busy environments assisting social work clients and their families.

Essential Qualifications:

It is vital that you possess experience in a clerical capacity, managing a diverse array of support tasks, and are proficient with various software applications, including Microsoft Excel and databases. You should demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively within a team and independently, meeting deadlines and maintaining quality standards. Exceptional customer service skills, self-motivation, and resilience when dealing with challenging client situations are also required.

Desirable Skills:

Familiarity with procurement systems (PECOS) and AIS is advantageous. Previous supervisory experience and an SVQ Level 3 in Business Administration or an equivalent qualification are also preferred.

If selected for this role, you will be required to undergo a Disclosure Scotland check, with the level of scrutiny determined by the responsibilities of the position.
