NHS Scotland is seeking an experienced healthcare support worker to join our hydrotherapy service as a Physiotherapy Support Worker - Hydrotherapy Pool Assistant. This exciting opportunity will enable you to work alongside aquatic physiotherapists to deliver aquatic rehabilitation interventions that promote independence and well-being for adults with neuromusculoskeletal conditions.
Key Responsibilities- Assist qualified physiotherapists with the delivery and implementation of individual and group patient treatment programmes in the hydrotherapy pool.
- Carry your own caseload, accepting patients from the aquatic physiotherapists.
- Support the safe and effective running of the hydrotherapy department by carrying out housekeeping duties and clerical work, including stock monitoring and ordering.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have experience working in a healthcare setting and a strong understanding of aquatic rehabilitation principles. You will also need to be able to work effectively as part of a team and communicate effectively with patients and colleagues.
