About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our team as an Assistant Patient Pathway Coordinator at Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure accurate and comprehensive patient records and clinical details are added onto the Electronic Patient Record (EPR) in a timely manner, adhering to the Trust's Elective Access Policy and Data Quality.
  • Log and book appointments on EPR as per the Trust's Elective Access Policy and assist the Patient Pathway Coordinators to ensure all referrals are clinically triaged within 48 hours of receipt of referral.
  • Proactively monitor all outpatient clinics and highlight over or under booking of clinics to the Patient Pathway Coordinators.
  • Ensure that patients on the 18-week Referral to Treatment (RTT) pathway are correctly recorded on EPR before undertaking any changes to the patient pathway.
  • Assist the Patient Pathway Coordinators with managing and maintaining the appointments for booking list on ERS.
  • Ensure that the appropriate action is taken following both patient and hospital cancellations, such that the utilization of elective outpatient capacity is maximized and patients are kept informed.
Person Specification
  • GCSE or equivalent in English and Maths, grades A-C.
  • Good knowledge of patient pathways.
  • Maintains high standards and quality of work.
  • Excellent diary maintenance scheduling skills.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
