Job Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Gynaecology Team at the Women's Centre for the role of Assistant Patient Pathway Coordinator. This position is designed to facilitate career progression through a structured competency framework, allowing the successful candidate to advance from a Band to a higher Band level.

The ideal candidate will exhibit strong organizational skills, adaptability, and a collaborative spirit. Exceptional customer service abilities and a commitment to continuous learning are essential to broaden the scope of responsibilities and enhance career growth.

A willingness to assist in covering a weekly service is also required.

Main Responsibilities

The successful applicant will be responsible for providing cross-functional support within the Gynaecology Administrative team, as directed by the Team Leader, to meet daily service demands.

Effective patient administration is crucial to the patient journey and supports clinical teams in delivering high-quality care, significantly impacting the overall patient experience. By ensuring high standards of data quality and optimizing the use of resources, efficient patient administration plays a vital role in management.

The post holder will assist in delivering a professional, comprehensive, and efficient administrative service to all patients and departmental members. Responsibilities will include managing waiting lists, validating pathways for specialties in accordance with relevant policies, communicating appointment and admission information to patients and caregivers, and preparing correspondence as needed.
