Job Overview

An exciting opportunity has emerged within the Gynaecology Team at the Women's Centre for the role of Assistant Patient Pathway Coordinator.

This position is designed for growth, allowing the successful candidate to advance through a structured competency framework from a Band to a higher Band.

The ideal applicant will possess strong organizational skills, adaptability, and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team. Exceptional customer service skills and a willingness to learn are essential for expanding their responsibilities and advancing within the pay scale.

Additionally, the candidate must be open to providing coverage for a day-a-week service as needed.

Main Responsibilities

The post holder will be responsible for providing cross-cover within the Gynaecology Administrative team as directed by the Team Leader, based on daily service requirements.

Patient administration is crucial to the patient journey and plays a vital role in supporting clinical teams to deliver high-quality patient care, significantly enhancing the patient experience. Efficient patient administration ensures management maintains a high standard of data quality while optimizing capacity and resources.

The successful candidate will assist in delivering a professional, comprehensive, and efficient administrative service to all patients and department members. This includes supporting both clinical and administrative teams in providing a thorough administrative service. Responsibilities will encompass waiting list management, pathway validation in accordance with established policies, communication of appointment and admission information to patients and caregivers, and typing relevant correspondence as necessary.
