Position Overview

We are in search of a Gynaecology Clinical Education Coordinator to join our team on a full-time basis, encompassing both clinical shifts and administrative hours.

To assist clinical personnel in the ward/department/specialty in recognizing opportunities for sustaining and enhancing patient care standards. To encourage and facilitate innovative approaches in care delivery in a structured and methodical manner. To provide professional advice and support to clinical staff. To formulate guidelines and implement advancements in practice, ensuring adherence to these standards. To deliver educational and training opportunities to clinical staff. To engage in clinical practice within the unit.

Key Responsibilities

To be thoroughly familiar with and operate within the Nursing Midwifery Council Code of Professional Conduct: Standards for conduct, performance, and ethics (2015). Collaborate with educational and service providers to ensure that learning environments are evaluated as necessary. Serve as an expert resource for all clinical staff and students, providing guidance as needed. Work alongside staff in clinical settings, supporting them in the direct provision of patient care. As the senior clinical practitioner, promote and engage in Clinical Supervision.

Our Women's Services encompass a 12-bedded inpatient ward, an additional treatment room, a Gynaecology Assessment and Triage Unit (GATU), an Early Pregnancy Assessment Service (EPAS), and Gynaecology Outpatients.

Qualifications

Essential

Registered Nurse (Active NMC Registration) Evidence of Continuing Professional Development relevant to the role Assessor/Supervisor training

Experience

Essential

Recent clinical experience at an advanced level. Demonstrated understanding of utilizing an evidence-based approach to support clinical practice and the ability to illustrate its application. Experience in teaching, mentorship, or preceptorship within a clinical setting. In-depth knowledge of Gynaecology and Women's Health.

Desirable

Experience in developing, implementing, and reviewing guidelines/policies in accordance with best practice standards.

Skills

Essential

Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to adapt to a dynamic work environment. Proficient in understanding, evaluating, analyzing, and presenting complex data.
