Position Overview

An exceptional opportunity has emerged for a dedicated and passionate Registered Nurse to join our esteemed team as a Nurse Hysteroscopy Specialist, either in a qualified capacity or as a trainee.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong enthusiasm for women's health and Gynaecology, coupled with a commitment to enhancing patient experiences and service delivery.

Applicants should have the necessary training qualifications in diagnostic and therapeutic hysteroscopy or be willing to pursue these qualifications, as on-the-job training and courses will be available for the successful candidate.

Key Responsibilities

The role will involve:

  • Ensuring a patient-centered, collaborative approach to care in partnership with patients, caregivers, healthcare professionals, and other relevant organizations.
  • Accurately completing clinical documentation in a timely manner.
  • Assisting in the development, monitoring, and maintenance of care standards in line with organizational policies, guidelines, and professional regulations.
  • Evaluating the quality and effectiveness of services provided, adhering to hysteroscopy standards and guidelines, and taking appropriate actions to address any deficiencies.
  • Implementing operational policies and quality management systems across the program in collaboration with clinical and operational leaders.
  • Ensuring proper cleaning, storage, and maintenance of equipment.
  • Providing comprehensive nursing care to women attending gynaecology services.

Candidate Profile

Qualifications

Essential

  • Registered Nurse with nursing education at degree level or currently pursuing.
  • Post-qualification in gynaecology accredited nurse hysteroscopist course or equivalent experience, or willingness to work towards this.
  • Health assessment training.
  • Post-qualification course/training in women's health.

Desirable

  • Counseling certificate/course.
  • Leadership course.
  • Advanced communication skills/course.

Experience and Knowledge

Essential

  • In-depth knowledge of gynaecology and women's health.
  • Evidence of managing personnel and change.
  • Understanding of safeguarding in relation to the specialty.
  • Familiarity with corporate and clinical governance.

Desirable

  • Experience within the hysteroscopy service, demonstrating enthusiasm and knowledge in the specialty.

Skills

Essential

  • Experience in performing outpatient hysteroscopy and managing/running a nurse-led outpatient clinic.
  • Knowledge of relevant professional policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrated excellent communication and written skills.
  • Able to work effectively under pressure and prioritize workload.

Desirable

  • Teaching and assessing qualification.
