Position Overview

An exceptional opportunity exists for a dedicated and passionate Registered Nurse to join our esteemed team as a Nurse Hysteroscopy Specialist, either in a qualified capacity or as a trainee.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to women's health and gynecological care, coupled with a desire to enhance patient experiences and service delivery.

Applicants should have the necessary qualifications in diagnostic and therapeutic hysteroscopy or be willing to pursue training, as on-the-job education and courses will be available for the selected individual.

Key Responsibilities

The role involves ensuring a patient-centered, collaborative approach to care, working alongside patients, caregivers, healthcare professionals, and various organizations.

Responsibilities include:

  • Accurate and timely completion of clinical documentation.
  • Development, monitoring, and maintenance of care standards in line with organizational policies, guidelines, and professional regulations.
  • Assessment of service quality and effectiveness according to established hysteroscopy standards, with appropriate actions taken to address any deficiencies.
  • Implementation of operational policies and quality management systems in collaboration with clinical and operational leaders.
  • Ensuring proper cleaning, storage, and maintenance of equipment.
  • Providing comprehensive nursing care to women utilizing gynecological services.

Candidate Profile

Qualifications

Essential

  • Registered Nurse with nursing education at degree level or in progress.
  • Completion of a post-qualification course in gynecology accredited nurse hysteroscopist or equivalent experience, or willingness to pursue.
  • Health assessment training.
  • Post-qualification training in women's health.

Desirable

  • Certification in counseling.
  • Leadership training.
  • Advanced communication skills training.

Experience and Knowledge

Essential

  • Comprehensive knowledge of gynecology and women's health.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing personnel and change.
  • Understanding of safeguarding principles relevant to the specialty.
  • Awareness of corporate and clinical governance.

Desirable

  • Experience within the hysteroscopy service, showcasing enthusiasm and knowledge in the specialty.

Skills

Essential

  • Experience in performing outpatient hysteroscopy and managing a nurse-led outpatient clinic.
  • Familiarity with relevant professional policies and procedures.
  • Proven excellent communication and writing skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and prioritize tasks.

Desirable

  • Qualification in teaching and assessment.
