Job Overview

An outstanding opportunity has emerged for a dedicated and skilled endoscopy nurse to become part of the welcoming and established team within the Endoscopy Unit.

The ideal candidate will exhibit a strong commitment to delivering exceptional clinical care and a continuous desire to enhance patient standards. You will collaborate closely with the Senior Nursing team on quality enhancement initiatives to promote positive transformations in our operations, while sharing your clinical knowledge to elevate the skills of the wider team through practice development, education, mentorship, and preceptorship.

Key Responsibilities

You will be tasked with overseeing a team of nurses and healthcare assistants, diligently monitoring their clinical skill advancement and fostering their professional growth. On a daily basis, you will be relied upon to take direct responsibility for the efficient operation of the unit, ensuring high-quality service delivery to patients, coordinating care, and prioritizing the team's responsibilities.

The successful candidate must possess excellent verbal, non-verbal, and written communication abilities and be approachable and supportive to work effectively as part of the team.

We seek to recruit an individual who exemplifies high clinical and professional standards, who is enthusiastic, compassionate, and capable of providing safe and empathetic nursing care to acutely unwell patients. You will receive support through an induction period and be encouraged to pursue your interests via further training and development opportunities within the Trust.

RGN, Paediatric specialties RSCN, Operating Theatres RGN or Registered ODP Evidence of Continuing Professional Development/qualification relevant to the area of specialty

Extensive post-registration experience with prior experience at Band 6 or equivalent in the relevant specialty. High-level clinical skills and knowledge
