Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Neonatal Sister to join our team at The Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust. As a key member of our Neonatal Unit, you will be responsible for providing exceptional clinical care to our patients and their families.

Main Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality patient care while coordinating and overseeing nursing practice.
  • Ensure the efficient and effective utilization of resources to deliver optimal quality care to our client group.
  • Work closely with the ward manager and other members of the multidisciplinary team to drive forward evidence-based practice.
  • Help drive forward evidence-based practice in line with national guidance to enhance the care we deliver to vulnerable infants and their families.

Our Neonatal Unit is a Level 2 Local Neonatal Unit part of the West Midlands Operational Delivery Network, providing excellent care for preterm babies from 27 weeks gestation and sick term newborn babies.

  • Able to work using own initiative
  • Ability to provide and receive complex and sensitive information
  • Extensive neonatal nursing experience post qualification
  • Up to date knowledge of issues affecting neonates and neonatal nursing
