We are looking for a skilled and committed Clinical Psychologist to take on a pivotal role within our Neurodevelopmental Services. This position is essential for providing thorough assessment and diagnostic support for children and adolescents. Your expertise will significantly influence the development of our services and positively impact the lives of young individuals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the Neurodevelopmental Services, ensuring exceptional assessment, diagnosis, and support for children and adolescents.
  • Perform and analyze comprehensive assessments, utilizing tools such as ADOS and ADI, to inform diagnostic processes and create personalized intervention strategies.
  • Deliver expert advice and assistance to the multidisciplinary team (MDT), enhancing their understanding of neurodiversity and the assessment for Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD).
  • Provide mentorship, support, and leadership to team members, ensuring the consistent implementation of best practices in assessment and intervention.
  • Offer professional consultation on psychological care to colleagues and caregivers, improving the overall quality of care within our services.
  • Contribute to the advancement and execution of services, particularly in neurodiversity, ensuring compliance with professional standards and organizational policies.

Requirements:

  • Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (or equivalent) and registration with the HCPC as a Practitioner Psychologist.
  • Extensive experience in conducting neurodevelopmental assessments and working with children and adolescents in similar environments.
  • Proven leadership and supervisory capabilities, with a strong ability to guide and support a multidisciplinary team. Proficiency in ASD and ADHD diagnostic methods.
  • Comprehensive understanding of neurodiversity and the psychological care of children and adolescents.
