We are looking for a committed and skilled Clinical Psychologist to take on a pivotal role within our Neurodevelopmental Pathway. This essential position involves providing thorough assessment and diagnostic services for children and adolescents. Your professional knowledge will significantly influence the development of our Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) and positively impact the lives of young individuals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the Neurodevelopmental Pathway, ensuring the delivery of high-standard assessments, diagnoses, and support services for children and adolescents.
- Conduct and analyze comprehensive assessments, including tools such as ADOS and ADI, leading to informed diagnostic processes and the creation of customized intervention strategies.
- Offer expert advice and assistance to the multidisciplinary team (MDT), enhancing their understanding of neurodiversity and the assessment of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD).
- Provide mentorship, support, and leadership to team members, ensuring adherence to best practices in assessment and intervention.
- Deliver expert consultation on psychological care to non-psychologist colleagues and caregivers, improving the overall quality of care within CAMHS.
- Contribute to the evolution and implementation of CAMHS services, particularly focusing on neurodiversity, ensuring compliance with professional standards and organizational policies.
Requirements:
- Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (or equivalent) and registration with the HCPC as a Practitioner Psychologist.
- Extensive experience in conducting neurodevelopmental assessments and working with children and adolescents in CAMHS or similar environments.
- Proven leadership and supervisory capabilities, with the ability to guide and support a multidisciplinary team. Proficiency in ASD and ADHD diagnostic methods.
- Comprehensive understanding of neurodiversity and the psychological care of children and adolescents.
