Job Overview

We are seeking an enthusiastic and creative Senior Clinical/Counselling Psychologist to join our Staff Psychology Service, providing assistance to all staff working across our hospital sites. Our service offers a range of evidence-based psychological help and interventions to support staff in managing the emotional impact of working in the NHS.

The Staff Psychology Service provides a range of interventions, including psychological therapy, consultation, and formulation, psychological debriefing, and bespoke training. Our service contributes to various workstreams across the trust and plays a crucial role in promoting psychological thinking at an organisational level.

Main Duties of the Job
  • To provide highly specialist psychological assessment and formulation for teams and staff members.
  • To provide a range of psychological interventions, including individual therapy, consultation, and debriefing.
  • To work collaboratively with colleagues to develop and deliver bespoke interventions and resources.
  • To maintain an awareness of the impact of challenges at an individual or team level on the provision of safe and good quality clinical care, reporting all concerns through the appropriate channels while taking all reasonable steps to maintain client confidentiality.
  • To undertake risk assessment and risk management for individual clients and provide highly specialist advice to other professionals on psychological aspects of risk assessment and risk management.
