Senior Clinical Psychologist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Clinical/Counselling Psychologist to join our Staff Psychology Service. As part of our team, you will play a vital role in providing evidence-based psychological help and interventions to staff across the Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital sites.
The Staff Psychology Service was launched in 2023 to support the emotional well-being of our staff. Our service provides a range of interventions, including psychological therapy, consultation, and debriefing. We work closely with our colleagues in the People Directorate to identify staff needs and provide proactive initiatives such as reflective practice and supervision.
As a Senior Clinical/Counselling Psychologist, you will work collaboratively with our Lead and Principal Psychologists to provide individual psychological therapy, consultation, and debriefs. You will also contribute to work at team and organisational levels, developing and delivering bespoke interventions and resources.
Main Duties of the Job- To provide highly specialist psychological assessment and formulation for teams and staff members.
- To provide a range of psychological interventions, including therapy, consultation, and debriefing.
- To work collaboratively with colleagues to develop and deliver bespoke interventions and resources.
- To maintain an awareness of the impact of challenges on individual or team levels and report concerns through appropriate channels.
- To undertake risk assessment and risk management for individual clients and provide highly specialist advice to other professionals.
