Key Responsibilities

The primary responsibilities include:

  • Facilitating the Band 5 Preceptorship Programme within the ward/department/specialty, identifying opportunities to uphold and enhance care standards.
  • Leading and coordinating the Band 5 Midwifery Preceptorship Programme under the guidance of the Clinical Education Midwife, collaborating with fellow Practice Education Facilitators (PEFs) within the Education Team to ensure comprehensive support for all PEF roles and responsibilities.
  • Encouraging and facilitating innovation in care delivery through structured and systematic approaches.
  • Providing professional guidance and support to Band 5 Preceptorship Midwives in their clinical practice.
  • Developing educational guidelines and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and implementing advancements in practice.
  • Delivering education and training to Midwives and other members of the Multidisciplinary Team.
  • Offering professional guidance and support to clinical staff.
  • Collaborating closely with the Practice Manager Associate (PMA).
