We are seeking a qualified professional to take on the role of UK Risk and Controls Lead within GroupM. This pivotal position is designed for a dynamic individual who will oversee a dedicated team while collaborating with various stakeholders across the organization.

Role Responsibilities

The UK Risk and Controls Lead will be responsible for:

  • Acting as a trusted advisor on risk management, internal controls, and compliance matters.
  • Driving enhancements in the control environment and promoting accountability at all organizational levels.
  • Fostering a culture of ethics and compliance throughout the company.
  • Providing training on internal policies and best practices related to controls.
  • Leveraging technology to optimize risk and control processes.
  • Building relationships to identify risks and propose effective solutions.

Key Duties

  • Championing the principles of ethics and integrity through training and support.
  • Serving as a subject matter expert in risk and controls.
  • Leading the UK Risk and Controls team, setting high standards and motivating team members.
  • Designing and implementing financial and operational controls in alignment with established frameworks.
  • Coordinating audit activities and ensuring compliance with internal and external requirements.
  • Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and adapting to evolving challenges.

Qualifications

  • Professional qualifications such as ACA/CA/ACCA with relevant post-qualification experience.
  • Familiarity with IFRS and compliance standards.
  • Proven leadership skills with a focus on driving change and fostering collaboration.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
