Amazon UK is seeking an experienced Transportation Risk and Compliance Manager to join our European team. As a key member of our Transportation, Risk and Compliance (TRC) team, you will play a critical role in driving compliance and risk management mechanisms for Amazon's transportation businesses.
Key Responsibilities- Regulatory Compliance Monitoring: Work closely with our Last Mile transportation teams to monitor regulatory and compliance risks, ensuring that our carrier partners meet all legal and contractual obligations.
- Risk-Based Inspections: Execute frequent risk-based inspections with transport carriers to verify compliance with safety standards and business practices.
- Process Improvement: Support process improvement, automation, and control implementation projects to enhance our compliance and risk management capabilities.
- Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with project teams to develop business requirements and business controls, and partner with legal, business teams, and technology teams to identify and assess regulatory, compliance, or other risks.
- Standardization and Documentation: Drive the standardization and documentation of processes, risks, and controls, and work with owners to assign accountability.
- Compliance Escalations: Execute compliance-related escalations and related deep dives to ensure timely and effective resolution.
- Project Management: Ability to monitor and drive projects through to completion on time, demonstrating strong problem-solving skills using data to drive decisions.
Our Transportation, Risk and Compliance (TRC) team is the voice of risk and compliance for Amazon's transportation businesses across 16 regions. We proactively identify and manage risks through risk mitigation strategies and provide assurance that Amazon and our carrier partners comply with the highest transportation and legal standards.
Requirements- Operational Audit, Compliance or Internal Controls experience.
- Advanced excel functions and their functionalities to support data analysis and compliance reporting.
- Proven Transportation or Supply Chain industry experience, preferably in a similar or equivalent role.
- Understanding of data analysis skills and tools such as Tableau, SQL (intermediate to advanced).
- Other foreign language written and verbal skills are considered a plus.
