Role Overview

As a Senior People Partner at iwoca, you will be instrumental in fostering and managing high-performing teams. You will collaborate closely with designated managers and teams to:

  • Act as a trusted advisor, providing support and insights on performance management, identifying high-potential team members, and enhancing employee engagement.
  • Utilize your experience and empathy to address complex employee relations matters, ensuring resolutions align with iwoca's values and policies.
  • Deliver one-on-one coaching to managers, enhancing their leadership skills.

Strategic Contributions

In addition to your direct responsibilities, you will help shape iwoca's overall People strategy by:

  • Identifying key issues affecting our team and culture, collaborating with the People team to devise effective action plans.
  • Evaluating new benefits and policies to enhance our employee value proposition and People practices.
  • Partnering with the People Experience, Talent, and Ops Strategy teams to gather data and insights that highlight trends and issues within our workforce.

Collaboration Across Borders

This role involves working with teams across the UK and Germany, ensuring cultural cohesion while respecting local nuances. You will gain insights into the varying employment law landscapes between these two regions.

Required Skills and Experience

To excel in this position, you should possess:

  • Extensive experience in providing specialized HR guidance and influencing stakeholders at both operational and strategic levels.
  • A curious mindset, eager to learn about iwoca's people management strategies and how to leverage your HR expertise for successful outcomes.
  • Excellent stakeholder management abilities.
  • Meticulous attention to detail, ensuring the quality and accuracy of your work.
  • A genuine passion for people strategy and organizational culture, continuously seeking to enhance your knowledge through various resources.
  • A strong appreciation for feedback and the benefits of constructive disagreement within an organization.
  • A willingness to learn about employment law in different markets, particularly in Germany.
  • While knowledge of German employment law is advantageous, it is not a prerequisite. Proficiency in the German language is a bonus but not required.

Compensation

The expected salary range for this role is between £70,000 and £80,000. We are open to discussing your salary expectations during the application process, as we regularly benchmark against market rates and conduct quarterly performance and salary reviews.
