Position Overview

Vantage is seeking an Assistant Development Manager to join our New Site Development EMEA team. This role will focus on pre-construction activities for both new and existing data center campuses, primarily in South Wales. The successful candidate will assist Development Managers in guiding these projects from conception through start of construction, providing continuous support to Delivery Directors throughout the development process.

This position will play a crucial role in market evaluation, site selection, due diligence, initial concept design, schematic and entitlement/permitting phases.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with Development Managers to execute the development strategy for new data center projects.
  • Conduct thorough market research and analysis to identify potential site locations.
  • Oversee due diligence processes, including environmental assessments, zoning reviews, and permitting applications.
  • Develop detailed project plans and budgets in collaboration with internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Manage relationships with key stakeholders, including local authorities, contractors, and vendors.
  • Prepare presentations and reports to communicate project progress and updates to senior management.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Urban Planning, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in the data center industry, with a focus on development and construction projects.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
