**HR Manager - Full Time (37.5 hours per week - condensed hours/4 day week considered)**
**Salary**:£34,000 - £40,000 per annum, dependent on experience, plus extensive benefits including 30 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays, exceptional pension scheme, access to a range of sports and club facilities, flexible and family friendlypolicies
**Location**:Headington, Oxfordshire
**Working pattern**: Hybrid with three days spent in the office, two days from home

Reed HR are pleased to partner with a established department of an Oxford institution, as they search for an experienced HR Manager, with people management/leadership skills, to join them on a full-time, permanent basis.

As the HR Manager, reporting to the Head of HR, you will support, coach and manage a team of experienced HR Officers, and support in generalist HR activity across the department. You will hold key relationships with other HR professionals across the widernetwork, and will contribute towards the wider departmental HR strategy, alongside the Head of HR.

Responsibilities will include:

- Providing vital support and guidance to a team of HR Officers, to enable them to provide an effective HR service to the wider organisation
- Provide guidance to managers and staff on all aspects of employment, such as recruitment, absence, and stress management, performance management, maternity and paternity leave, disciplinary and grievance processes.
- Monitor legislative policy developments, making recommendations when necessary to inform strategic decision making
- Support wider organisational initiatives, projects and priorities such as DE&I, audits, compliance checking, managing HR projects as they arise, implementing changes
- Attending divisional meetings and committees, building relationships across the wider network of departments

If you would like to be considered for this position, it is important that you have prior broad generalist HR experience, ideally gained from a higher educational/university setting, although other backgrounds will be considered if from public sector.

It is essential that you have prior people management experience in relation to leading a team of HR professionals, as this is one of the main priorities of the role. You'll have extensive employee relations experience, able to provide solid guidance onthese matters when needed.

As a person, you'll be a motivational leader, able to ensure the team have the tools, training and development in place to succeed.

It's important that you live within a commutable distance to Headington, Oxfordshire, as three days per week will be spent in the office.
