Guideposts is a multi-disciplinary social care and mental health network focused first and foremost upon PEOPLE. As a charity we have over 50 years’ experience meeting the needs of individuals who face any number of complex challenges; from autism, learningdisability and mental health conditions, to physical disability and age-related conditions, such as dementia, sensory impairment and mobility problems. Whether through active care and support services, information advice and guidance or independent livingand training projects; Guideposts exists in order to connect people and their carers with opportunities.

**ThePeople Development Officer role**:
As our**People Development Officer,**you will be working with the HR Manager supporting general HR administrative processes such as recruitment and induction of staff and volunteers.

You will have a proactive approach and be comfortable working remotely and using your own initiative.

**Your responsibilities as our People Development Officer will include**:

- Helping to research and advise the leadership team on recruitment and development funding and initiatives within the social care sector to support continuous improvement of Guideposts Trust Strategy
- Coordinating and overseeing the ongoing training and development of staff and volunteers, developing skills and expertise to deliver a high-quality experience to our members
- Supporting the implementation of apprenticeship and work training opportunities within Guideposts services for staff, volunteers, and service users

**What we are looking for in ourPeople Development Officer**:

- Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate well at all levels
- The ability to prioritise, organise and manage own workload
- The ability to support staff teams across a multi-site basis and travel as required (a full driving license is essential)
- Experience working in the health and/or social care sector is desirable but not essential

**An enhanced DBS check is required for this role.The cost will be met by the employer.**

**Benefits you will receive as ourPeople Development Officer**:

- Pension scheme: Guideposts will contribute 6% of your salary when you contribute 3%
- Annual leave: 23 days rising to a maximum of 28 days plus bank holidays
- Occupational Sick Pay Scheme: 20 days Full Pay and 60 days Half Pay
