The post-holder will provide administrative support to the Rheumatology department to help maintain up to date patient records on the DAWN database and Cerner. This new role will make a vital contribution to the efficient running of the department and ensuring patient safety.

**The key roles will be to**:

- Work closely with clinicians (Doctors, nurses and pharmacist) to maintain patient records on the medication management software recently introduced to the department.
- Populate required patient data to ensure that it is an up to date reflection of the patients treatment and monitoring requirements
- Liaise with the Rheumatology team to ensure an efficient way of working when implementing this software within the department.

Internally the post-holder will develop effective working relationships with:

- Rheumatology clinical team (Doctors, nurses and pharmacist)
- Pharmacy
- Pathology
- iMSK administrative team

Externally this includes
- Patients
- Referrers to the iMSK service
- Medication management software company

1. To ensure that documentation and records associated with the medication management system and other rheumatology databases are correctly maintained and are up to date.

2. To provide assistance to patients who are having their blood tests monitored by the Rheumatology Department

3. To flag any clinical concerns to relevant members of the clinical team so that they can be actioned
