Office Administrator

We are looking to recruit an Office Administrator to work within a busy Steelwork Fabrication company that specialises in Metal Fabrications, bespoke Fabrications, and materials handling equipment.
Hours are 40 per week Monday to Friday.
This a permanent position.
**Responsibilities**
- Liaising with suppliers for quotation needs.
- Accurately populating quotations using Excel to gain orders by adhering to customer requirements.
- Liaising with the CAD team to ensure newly developed products are accurately quoted.
- Supports company operations by maintaining office systems.
- Maintains office services by organizing office operations and procedures, preparing payroll, controlling correspondence, designing filing systems, reviewing and approving supply requisitions, and assigning and monitoring clerical functions.
- Provides historical reference by defining procedures for retention, protection, retrieval, transfer, and disposal of records.
- Designs and implements office policies by establishing standards and procedures, measuring results against standards, and making necessary adjustments.
- Keeps management informed by reviewing and summarizing information, and identifying trends.
- Answering the phone and dealing with requests.
- Production of quotations for customers in a clear, detailed and accurate manner.
- Providing and assisting colleagues on technical issues
- Negotiating and achieving deadlines for the submission of quotations
- Building relationships with customers and potential customers to understand their requirements.
- Negotiating best possible prices with sub suppliers
- Communicating with customers to gain feedback on quotations.
- Recording all relevant sales information
- Achieving relevant targets
**Knowledge, Skills, Experience**
- Engineering and fabrication knowledge
- Minimum 2 years’ experience within an Estimator role
- Ability to read and work to drawings.
- A good level of computer literacy and numeracy skills
- Microsoft Excel conversant
- To be organised, accurate and have an eye for detail.
- Team working and communication skills.
- Be commercially aware and profit driven.
**Working Location/Environment**
Hixon, Stafford
**Working Hours**:
Mon-Fri 8:00am-4:30pm - 40hrs per week
Salary negotiable for the right person.
