This role requires employees to complete an online Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) including The Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) checks for criminal convictions.

As a Programme Administrator, you will play a pivotal role in a national program aimed at delivering a prototype fusion energy plant by 2040. This program is deliberately bold and ambitious and seeks people who want to be part of a world-changing endeavour and who have credible and relevant experience in delivery.

The program is currently led by our organisation, which has a wealth of expertise in fusion science, engineering, and operations. Over the next year, leadership will transition to a new Company focused on the delivery of the prototype and the development of a fusion supply chain. From the next government investment gate, the new company will lead a collaborative team of industrial partners who bring expertise in engineering and construction.

**Additional Responsibilities**:

- Diary Management and meeting co-ordination: Organize one or more manager’s diaries, arrange travel, training courses, meetings, site visits, and a variety of other activities using the relevant tools and systems provided.
- Induction and Site Access: Proactive and effective delivery of induction and orientation of new starters, visitors, and placements liaising with other departments to secure IT access, site access, pass building access, and the setup of accommodation on site.
- Data Management and record keeping: Effective management of relevant data systems and records (both electronic and paper-based) on behalf of the program/department ensuring that this information is kept up to date and is maintained with accuracy.
- Purchasing: Purchase management on behalf of the program/department as instructed and in line with financial delegations. Checking authorizations and receipts against spend, highlighting any concerns or issues linked to a requisition.
- Recruitment Administration: Support with program/department recruitment administration, including the scheduling of interviews, planning recruitment campaign calendars, and recruitment administration support as required linked to the online system.

**Qualifications**

**Essential Requirements**:

- GCSE grade C and above or equivalent in English language and mathematics.
- Demonstrable administrative experience.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Discreet and professional approach.
- Demonstrable ability to cope with multiple tasks and prioritize appropriately.
- Excellent IT literacy and competency with Microsoft Office software.
