HR Policy Manager

A global Financial Services company based in the City are currently seeking a brand new HR Policy Manager on an interim basis. This assignment offers the chance to make a significant impact by refining HR policies to align with legal standards, best practices and the organisation's core values.You will play a crucial role in reviewing and amending existing policies to ensure they are not only legally compliant but also resonate with inclusive language and the company's ethos. This role will be responsible for identifying any gaps in current policies, examining the existing Employee Handbook, and ensuring the company intranet reflects the latest, most accurate information. Additionally, you will be responsible for imparting knowledge and providing internal training to the HR team.

Candidates must possess a robust understanding of HR policy frameworks and have a proven track record of delivering clear, concise, and effective policy documentation. Experience in creating and delivering training material is also essential.

Take the helm in developing and maintaining UK HR policies, ensuring they remain current, market-aligned, and compliant with employment legislation.Work on projects that integrate local, regional, international, and global policies, collaborating with partners globally, including Head Office.Lead the annual review of HR policies and employment contracts, and act as the policy owner for the UK Employee Handbook and Agile Working policies.Serve as the expert advisor to HR Business Partners and the HR Shared Services team on the consistent application of UK policy, ensuring risks are appropriately managed.Lead designated HR projects and represent HR on cross-divisional EMEA-wide business projects, driving policy-related changes and initiatives.Support policy changes through the correct governance arrangements, ensuring all key stakeholders have appropriate sign-off.Work in partnership with stakeholders to ensure commitment to, and the successful implementation of, policy-related changes.Oversee HR communications, identify opportunities for improvement, and ensure all communications are in line with agreed approaches. To excel in this role, you must have: Demonstrable experience in developing and maintaining HR policies, with a deep understanding of employment legislation and statutory regulations.Strategic thinking and the ability to anticipate internal and external factors influencing policy change and assess associated risks to the business.Experience in engaging with internal stakeholders to gain feedback and agreement on new policies and initiatives.Strong project management skills, with experience leading HR projects and representing HR in cross-divisional initiativesFamiliarity with governance and control processes, ensuring compliance with policy governance requirements.Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with experience in preparing reports, gathering research, and contributing to online learning modulesMeticulous in managing actions, taking accurate minutes of meetings, and handling all associated paperwork If interested please apply and contact for more information.
