Lead Youth Worker

This is an important role within our team at Torus Foundation, where you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young people. As the Lead Youth Worker, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and delivering high-quality programmes for children.
Based in the heart of South Liverpool, FireFit, Youth and Community Hub is a cornerstone of the charity Torus Foundation. Its state-of-the-art facilities provide young people and the wider community, access to a wealth of sports, creative and performing arts and wellbeing opportunities, seven days a week. Torus Foundation partners with people and places to create a platform for real, lasting change. At FireFit, we do this by unlocking opportunities to empower young people. Our services are designed in collaboration with our members and strategic partners, ensuring the facility inspires and empowers members and the broader community to reach their real potential.

This is an important role in which you will:
- Develop and deliver comprehensive youth provision aligned with our Youth Outcomes Framework.
- Manage and implement engaging programmes.
- Line manage the youth work team, ensuring performance is managed effectively.
To be successful in this role you will:
- Hold a relevant Level 3 qualification in Youth Work or be willing to work towards one.
- Have experience in designing and delivering youth work activities.
- Demonstrate a sound understanding of Safeguarding policies and procedures.
- Have experience in managing staff members.
PLEASE NOTE:
The postholder will be required to work evenings and weekends.
Each successful applicant will be required to complete the following pre-employment checks prior to a start date being agreed;

- Qualification certificate check
- 2x Completed references.
- OH Health Questionnaire – Fit For Work
- DBS check (if required for role)
- Completion of all new starter documentation including signed T&C’s
