About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Youth Support Worker to join our team at With You. As a key member of our staff, you will work closely with young people who are experiencing difficulties with substance misuse or mental health. Your primary responsibility will be to assess their needs, develop care plans, and deliver a variety of treatments and/or refer them to other specialist support when needed.

Responsibilities

  • Support a caseload of young people to achieve their goals and improve their overall well-being
  • Develop and implement care plans that address the individual needs of each young person
  • Deliver a range of interventions, including group work and one-to-one sessions
  • Collaborate with other agencies and professionals to ensure a holistic approach to support
  • Maintain accurate records and reports to monitor progress and identify areas for improvement

Requirements

  • Knowledge of substance and alcohol misuse, as well as mental health principles and practices
  • Excellent relationship-building skills, with the ability to work with a diverse range of young people
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with young people and colleagues alike
  • Experience of working with young people, preferably in a support or advisory capacity
