Youth Support Workers Wanted

Are you a dedicated and compassionate Youth Support Worker looking to utilise your skills in a classroom setting? Axcis Education is seeking enthusiastic individuals to join our team as Teaching Assistants and Cover Supervisors, working closely with students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and challenging behaviour. This is a fantastic opportunity to transfer your skills and make a positive impact on the education and development of young individuals.
**Responsibilities**:
- Provide one-on-one and group support to students with SEMH needs and challenging behaviour.
- Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons.
- Implement behaviour management strategies and de-escalation techniques.
- Foster a positive and nurturing learning environment.
- Support students with their academic, social, and emotional development.
- Collaborate with the school staff to ensure the well-being of students.
**Requirements**:
- Previous experience working as a Youth Support Worker or in a similar role.
- Understanding of SEMH needs and strategies to manage challenging behaviour.
- Ability to build rapport and establish positive relationships with students.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, resilience, and a compassionate approach.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing situations in the classroom.
- Relevant qualifications and certifications are advantageous but not essential.
