Solution Architect - Permanent £85-£100k + Benefits

TEKsystems are currently recruiting for a Solution Architect to work on a large Finance Transformation programme as part of a large scale digital transformation of a Global Services customer of ours.

Description:

Our global market leading client is looking to recruit a SAP/ERP Solutions Architect.

The SAP/ERP Solutions Architect will be responsible for taking ownership for successful, predictable and repeatable implementation of SAP/ERP based solutions that meet the needs of business stakeholders.

•Taking responsibility for the solution architecture lifecycle working closely with the Business, Enterprise and Business architecture, product management and analysis during the early stages of the process

•Participating in work to standard3ise the Solution Architecture deliverables and taking an active role in the Innovation & Technology Solution Design Review to provide design guidance, timely value adding reviews and progress centred governance (making sure tactical technical debt is declared and remediation accounted for in any business case)

•Participating in the definition of the solution and enterprise architecture principles, policies, standards and patterns. Ensuring the definition of technology solutions conforms to the standards and patterns mandated and agreed or that exceptions are “sentenced” for replacement when risk tolerance allows

•Being an ambassador for Innovation & Technology, engaging with business colleagues to understand business requirements and articulate solution designs to meet those requirements, whilst adhering to the Enterprise Architecture.

•Collaborating with colleagues to maintain views of Architecture for Enterprise planning and discovery.

•Translating Enterprise Architecture deliverables such as Architecture Vision and Business Requirements into High- and Low-Level solution designs.

•Working on multiple projects concurrently, taking ownership and delivery of individual solution architecture projects.

•Prioritising workload and deliverables by producing output at the right level at the right time.

Working with selected partners during the design and implementation of business technology solutions

Key Responsibilities:

The following list highlight the key accountabilities for this role, the responsibility for delivering against these will be expected to be shared across the team that this role is part of, including permanent, contract and outsourced roles.

Key accountabilities:

•Leading SAP/ERP architecture delivery for multiple concurrent business projects

•Participate in the standardisation of the solution architecture capability including documents, principles, policies, standards and methodology

•Capable of working within an agile environment involving iterative iterations of architectural change,

•Make justified decisions about the architectural patterns most suitable projects.

•Working closely and contribute positively with Stakeholders and other Group functions to ensure architecture reuse and best practice.

•Guide and support other architects through periods of significant change.

•Communicate effectively within the team and stakeholders.

•Document and obtain agreement with stakeholders for decisions, buy vs. build decisions, and early-phase project estimates which contribute to business cases.

•Escalate architecture design issues to stakeholders related to possible alternative solutions

•Innovate and excite by bringing technology opportunities to remedy business pain points, initiate proof of concept activities to evaluate fit.

•Obtain knowledge of Best practice and latest opportunities that can positively impact the business, for example, AI.

•Identify & develop partnership and collaborative working opportunities and relationships; within the organisation; suppliers; stakeholders; private and public sector organisations, to develop the Solution Architecture, in order to maximise opportunities to deliver value to the organisation.

Essential skills required;

Solutions Architecture

SAP/ERP delivery experience (ideally BYD or S/4Hanna)

Transformation Delivery background
