Background and Purpose of the Role
We are excited to announce a newly created role for a Commercial Administrator to support our HS2 project team. This position is essential for performing a variety of administrative tasks, providing support to our managers and wider team, and managing general administrative activities for our projects. The successful candidate will play a key role in achieving our company’s mission and upholding our values.
Key Responsibilities
- Data Entry: Input data into our in-house Contract Data System.
- Timesheet Preparation: Assist with the preparation of weekly timesheets as required.
- Report Preparation: Help in the preparation of regularly scheduled reports.
- Document Creation: Create and manage important documents.
- Visitor Support: Greet visitors and provide general support.
- Point of Contact: Act as the point of contact for internal and external clients where required.
- Request Handling: Handle requests and queries from senior managers.
- Filing: Ensure important documentation is filed correctly.
- Team Support: Provide support to other team members when required.
Qualifications and Experience
Essential:
- Proven experience as an administrative assistant, virtual assistant, or in an office environment.
- Proficiency in MS Office (particularly MS Excel and MS PowerPoint).
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task.
