What Will Be Your Day to Day Responsibilities?
Administrative Officers are assigned to teams to carry out a variety of general administrative duties to progress cases through the court/tribunal system. To do so your duties will include but not be limited to:
Preparing papers and files for court, tribunals, hearings and meetings.
Producing court/tribunal documents.
General photocopying and filing.
Creating and updating records on in-house computer system and data input.
Post opening and dispatch.
Booking, preparing and organising meeting rooms.
Preparing meeting agenda, joining instructions and handouts.
Resulting courts accurately, interpreting accurately the information required on a court fileYou will also support in clerking the courtroom, which will involve:
Assisting the judge and managing the courtroom, ensuring it runs smoothly and that everyone is in the right place at the right time.
Implementing any updates and informing the judge.
Speaking aloud in the courtroom and acting as liaison between jury and judge.
Sitting beside the judge and using computers to change slides or show evidence as needed.
Preparing all the case papers for the judge to make sure they are fully prepared for court.Once trained it will be expected that you work across both of the Grimsby sites, these are only about a 5-minute walk apart.
