Job Introduction
Join our fantastic Sexual Health team as an Administrator at our Stirling Medical Centre, Grimsby. To support the Administration Manager in delivering a consistent and co-ordinated approach to the operational management of Sexual Health service. Undertaking full reception and administrative duties across our Northern Lincolnshire Sexual Health Services based at** Stirling Medical Centre in Grimsby, **and **The Ironstone Centre in Scunthorpe.**
You'll be required to perform a variety of tasks in support of the patients journey from referral to consultation through to discharge.
For this role you'll work in conjunction with the clinical and managerial teams to ensure appointment capacity is utilised and the timeliness of patient appointments is monitored.
Main Responsibilities
Your days will be fulfilling and rewarding. Some of your responsibilities will include:
- Sort and distribute and action incoming mail if required.
- To create, update and amend patient case notes as required, particularly in respect of ensuring all patient demographics are accurate as required.
- To undertake reception duties, including updating patient’s personal details and organising follow-up appointments
- To ensure telephone enquiries are dealt with in a polite and courteous manner.
- Use the Lilie patient management system book, register and track patients through the service.
- Support with and maintain our robust express kit process; which will include the follow up on administering all results.
- To maintain a filing system for any hard copy records, ensure electronic records are maintained in line with our organisations policy and guidelines.
- To work in line with our organisational values and behaviours, in addition to maintaining our local and regional guidelines
- Maintain the work area in a clean, tidy manner at all times ensuring the security requirements of the office area are met.
- To support and share equal responsibilities of all tasks that fit within the remit of the Administration Assistant.
- Maintain a safe environment for patients, staff and visitors
- To participate in service developments for the administrative team
- To be a team player developing team working and encouraging a collaborative approach working closely with the nursing team on the department.
- Contribute to working towards our call management service levels and maintain excellent customer service.
- To support the Administration Manager in the day-to-day operational functions of the department and undertake any office duties to ensure the efficiency of the administrative service is maintained at all times

**Essential**
- Experience of working in a healthcare environment in an administrative role.
- Must be able to demonstrate an interest in Business Administration and Health Care
- Ability to use Microsoft Office to assist in producing a variety of documents
- Ability to communicate clearly face to face and on the telephone to a variety of people
- Flexible approach to work by responding to the needs of the services including, at times, requirements to work beyond normal working hours to cover sickness and annual leave.
- Commitment to own continuous personal and professional development
Strong team player, committed to an ethos of continuous improvement
**Desirable**
- Knowledge of sexual health
- NVQ 2 in business administration
