Role Overview

Pick for Britain's Rugby Borough Council is seeking a skilled Housing Enforcement Officer to join their Regulatory Services team. This role offers a unique opportunity to make a positive impact on the community by enforcing laws related to private sector housing.

About the Position

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual with expertise in using powers under the Housing Act 2004 and the Housing and Planning Act 2016. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of private sector housing legislation and previous experience in a housing enforcement or regulatory capacity.

The successful candidate will leverage civil penalties, rent repayment orders, and licensing powers to improve living conditions and drive meaningful change in the community.

Main Responsibilities
  • Work collaboratively with the Environmental Health Team to provide an exceptional service to residents
  • Apply powers under the Housing Act 2004 and the Housing and Planning Act 2016 to enhance living conditions
  • Support the Team Leader as needed and assist with management functions

Salary Scale

£31,586 - £35,235 per annum (or £35,235 – £39,513 per annum depending on experience)
