Environmental Health Specialist

Rugby Borough Council is committed to enhancing the quality of life for its residents. As an Environmental Health Specialist, you will be a key member of the Regulatory Services team, working on complex issues that impact living conditions.
About the RoleThis position requires a highly motivated professional with expertise in using powers under the Housing Act 2004 and the Housing and Planning Act 2016. You must have an excellent working knowledge of private sector housing legislation and proven experience in a housing enforcement or regulatory capacity.
The successful candidate will utilise civil penalties, rent repayment orders, and licensing powers to improve living conditions and make a lasting difference in people's lives.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with the Environmental Health Team to deliver a high-quality service to residents
- Utilise powers under the Housing Act 2004 and the Housing and Planning Act 2016 to enhance living conditions
- Deputise and support the management functions of the Team Leader as required

£31,586 - £35,235 per annum (or £35,235 – £39,513 per annum depending on experience)
