We Manage Jobs(WMJobs) is looking for an Environmental Services Director to lead our waste management operations. As a director, you will be responsible for implementing effective waste management strategies, improving processes, and ensuring compliance with regulations.

The estimated annual salary for this role is £42,110, based on the company's standards and the location of Rugby Borough Council.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and implementing waste management strategies that promote environmental sustainability and reduce costs.
  • Overseeing the waste management team, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient operations.
  • Collaborating with external partners and stakeholders to achieve waste disposal and recycling targets.
  • Maintaining accurate records of waste volumes, disposal methods, incidents, and regulatory compliance.

About you

  • You should have previous management experience in waste, sanitation, or environmental services, preferred but not essential.
  • A strong understanding of waste management practices, regulations, and safety procedures is required.
  • Effective leadership and people management skills are necessary.
  • You must be able to identify and resolve operational issues quickly and effectively.
  • Good communication and organisational skills are also required.
