Job Title:

"HR Manager - Strategic HR Lead"

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled and experienced HR professional to join Michael Page Human Resources, working part-time hours. As the successful candidate, you will be responsible for managing all employee relations casework, assessing training needs, and creating effective training programs.

The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational and planning skills, excellent communication and influencing abilities, and a strategic approach to HR management. A CIPD qualification and minimum 3 years' experience in manufacturing or a related field are essential. The salary for this position is estimated to be £38,000-£40,000 per annum, depending on experience, with flexible hours available.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all Employee Relations Casework.
  • Assess training needs and create and implement appropriate training programs.
  • Manage all Employee Engagement initiatives.
  • Oversee the site onboarding process, including induction and new starter documentation such as Contracts of Employment, references, and obtaining copies of any relevant training documents.
  • Liaise with payroll to set up relevant payments.
  • Oversee and manage salary benchmarking.
  • Ensure annual appraisals are carried out.
  • Manage employee sick absence, ensuring return-to-work interviews are conducted.
  • Monitor long-term absence and involve the Occupational Health team when necessary.
  • Promote employee well-being through initiatives to engage employees.
  • Manage the WorkDay HR platform, ensuring records are kept up to date.

About You:

We are seeking a confident communicator with excellent verbal and written skills, a proactive approach to organization and planning, and the ability to influence and motivate peers and external stakeholders. A strategic thinker with good decision-making skills and a flexible approach to working practices is also essential. If you have a CIPD qualification and a background in manufacturing or a related field, we would love to hear from you.
