About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Part Time Head of HR to join our team at Michael Page Human Resources. As the first point of contact for all HR related queries, you will be responsible for creating a proactive HR department that leads from the front.

Our client is a leader in their field, operating internationally, and we are looking for someone who can provide exceptional support and guidance to employees across the globe.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Manage all Employee Relations Casework, ensuring timely and effective resolutions.
  • Assess training needs and create and implement appropriate training programmes to enhance employee skills and knowledge.
  • Develop and implement Employee Engagement initiatives to foster a positive work environment.
  • Oversee the site onboarding process, including induction and new starter documentation, to ensure a seamless transition for new employees.
  • Liaise with payroll to set up relevant payments and ensure accurate compensation.
  • Oversee and manage salary benchmarking to ensure fair and competitive compensation practices.
  • Ensure annual appraisals are conducted in a timely and effective manner.
  • Manage employee sick absence, conducting return-to-work interviews and monitoring long-term absence.
  • Promote employee well-being through various initiatives to engage employees and improve job satisfaction.
  • Manage the WorkDay HR platform, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.

Requirements:

  • A confident communicator with excellent verbal and written skills.
  • Proactive with strong organization and planning skills.
  • The ability to influence and motivate peers and external stakeholders.
  • A strategic thinker with good decision-making skills.
  • A flexible approach to working practices.
  • CIPD qualified, ideally with a manufacturing background (minimum 3 years).
  • Strong up-to-date knowledge and understanding of UK employment law.

What We Offer:

A competitive salary of £38,000 - £40,000, depending on experience, with excellent benefits. A chance to work part-time with flexible hours (20 hours per week).
