The Operations Director – Strategic Accounts Finance is responsible for leading a team of professionals who are dedicated to delivering projects or services to Onnec's identified strategic accounts in finance. This role involves improving efficiency, productivity, and quality while delivering within budget requirements in a safe and fully compliant working environment globally.

The ideal candidate will work closely with the Sales Directors of Strategic Accounts Finance and Heads of Country to ensure operational focus and delivery strategies, processes, and procedures are fully aligned across Onnec. The role requires strong leadership and people management abilities, excellent communication and presentation skills, and a deep understanding of organisational dynamics.

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Developing and implementing the overall operational strategy in alignment with the Onnec strategic account goals and objectives.
  • Understanding the unique operational needs and challenges of each account and developing customised operational strategies.
  • Fostering deep relationships with Key customer stakeholders.
  • Meet and exceed financial/margin expectation deliverables at Account and Project level.
  • Identifying opportunities for process improvement and efficiency enhancement.
  • Analysing existing processes and workflows to identify areas for optimisation.
  • Managing and allocating resources efficiently, including budgeting and resource planning.
  • Overseeing inventory and supply chain management, ensuring timely availability of materials and resources.
  • Recruiting, training, and managing a high-performing operational team focused on strategic account sales.
  • Setting clear KPIs and performance expectations for the team.
  • Providing coaching, guidance, and support to help team members achieve their goals.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams (e.g. operations - key accounts/tech accounts and sales) to align strategies and resources.

This role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, the ability to think strategically, and provide practical solutions. The salary range for this position is £80,000-£110,000 per year, depending on experience, and includes a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.
