Patient Safety Investigation Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Patient Safety Investigation Lead to join our Patient Safety Team at the North East Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest standards of patient safety and quality care.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the investigation of patient safety incidents, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
- Develop and implement effective patient safety strategies, working closely with our Quality and Safety directorate and Learning Response Leads.
- Monitor and analyze patient safety data, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with our clinical teams to ensure that patient safety is integrated into all aspects of our service.
- Develop and deliver training programs to enhance patient safety awareness and skills among our staff.

Requirements- Significant experience in patient safety, quality improvement, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and identify trends.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clinical and non-clinical teams.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on collaboration and partnership working.
- Knowledge of patient safety frameworks, policies, and procedures, including the National Patient Safety Incident Response Framework.
