We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Patient Safety Investigation Lead to join our Patient Safety Team at the North East Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest standards of patient safety and quality care.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the investigation of patient safety incidents, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
- Develop and implement effective safety improvement plans, working closely with clinical teams and other stakeholders to drive cultural change and improve patient outcomes.
- Collaborate with our Learning Response Leads to ensure timely and effective sharing of lessons learned across the organisation.
- Provide expert advice and guidance on patient safety matters, ensuring compliance with national and local policies and guidelines.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of our Patient Safety Incident Response Framework, ensuring it remains effective and relevant.

Requirements- Significant experience in patient safety, human factors, or a related field.
- Education to degree level in a relevant subject, such as healthcare, psychology, or a related field.

- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritising tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and develop effective solutions.
