Patient Safety Investigation Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Patient Safety Investigation Lead to join our Patient Safety Team at the North East Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest standards of patient safety and quality care.
About the RoleThe Patient Safety Investigation Lead will be responsible for leading the investigation of patient safety incidents, identifying root causes, and implementing corrective actions to prevent future incidents. You will work closely with our Learning Response Leads, Quality and Safety Directorate, and other stakeholders to ensure effective incident management and learning.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the investigation of patient safety incidents, including data collection, analysis, and reporting.
- Identify root causes of incidents and develop recommendations for corrective actions.
- Collaborate with the Learning Response Leads to ensure effective incident management and learning.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to prevent future incidents.
- Provide training and education to staff on patient safety and quality improvement.
- Contribute to the development of the Trust's patient safety strategy and quality improvement plan.
