**Job Title:** Strategic People Development Manager

Location: Long Stratton, Norwich, Norfolk

Job Type: Full-time, 37 hours per week

Salary: £38,000 per annum

We are seeking a highly skilled Strategic People Development Manager to join our team at Saffron Housing. As a key member of our People Team, you will play a vital role in supporting the operational delivery of our People Plan, which underpins our organisational vision, culture, and strategy.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Coach and develop managers across various integrated people practices aligned with our values and culture.
  • Provide pragmatic people advice and support managers with casework, including absence, capability, investigations, disciplinary, and grievance cases, promoting early and informal resolution through mediation where possible.
  • Deliver people-specific change programmes, managing risk and ensuring colleagues' support throughout.
  • Promote EDI and wellbeing approaches and build associated capability and confidence in managers to embed these across policies, procedures, and practices, fostering a culture of inclusion and belonging.
  • Advise leaders and managers on the organisational performance framework, including objective setting, appraisals, and regular development conversations.
  • Coach and advise leaders to build people management capability, designing and delivering people-focused workshops.

Requirements:

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum Level 5 CIPD qualification or equivalent experience.
  • Commitment to Continued Professional Development (CPD).
  • Demonstrable HR advisory experience with an employee relations background.
  • Supporting people change processes.
  • Coaching hiring managers on recruitment, selection, and onboarding approaches.
  • Designing and delivering learning programmes to enhance manager capability.
  • Identifying and implementing pragmatic EDI approaches and/or wellbeing solutions.
  • Working in a unionised environment.
  • Working in the housing sector.
