Job Title: Front Desk Agent

At The Shelbourne Hotel, we are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Front Desk Agent to join our team.

Job Summary

We are looking for a professional and organized individual to provide exceptional guest service, manage front desk operations, and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process guest check-ins and check-outs, including confirming reservations, assigning rooms, and issuing room keys.
  • Manage guest payments, including processing room charges, cash, checks, debit, and credit transactions.
  • Respond to guest inquiries, resolve issues, and provide information about hotel services and local attractions.
  • Coordinate with Housekeeping to ensure rooms are ready for check-in and maintain a clean and organized front desk area.
  • Communicate parking procedures to guests and dispatch bell staff or valet staff as needed.
  • Run daily reports, identify special requests, and verify report accuracy.
  • Complete designated cashier and closing reports in the computer system.
  • Cash guests' personal checks and traveler's checks, and balance and drop receipts according to Accounting specifications.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in hospitality or related field preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with guests, colleagues, and management.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Basic math skills and ability to handle cash and credit transactions.
  • Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods, and move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 10 pounds without assistance.
