Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Accounts Assistant (Accounts Receivable) to join our team in Ayr. This is a dynamic role that involves assisting the Accounts Receivable Team Leader with all aspects of Sales Ledger, Credit Control & Cashbook.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all aspects of credit control, including setting up new customer accounts and allocating credit limits.
  • Maintain up-to-date sales ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Resolve disputed invoices in a timely manner, minimizing delays and maintaining positive relationships with customers.
  • Post cashbook transactions, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Perform administrative tasks such as depositing cheques at the bank weekly, answering telephone calls, redirecting calls, taking messages, distributing incoming mail and processing incoming/outgoing mail.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a similar role, with a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines, prioritizing tasks and managing workload effectively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft packages, with knowledge of SAGE & SAP systems desirable (training will be provided). A qualification in administrative and/or accounts would be beneficial.

Salary and Benefits: The salary for this role is £26,000 per annum, reflecting the importance of this position in supporting the growth and success of our business.
